Leading the Pallas reactor project in the Netherlands, serving global health
INVAP is working on a challenging technological project: the PALLAS multipurpose reactor in the Netherlands. The Argentine company is responsible for the comprehensive design of the nuclear island and its associated services, as well as the manufacture and installation of essential equipment for the plant’s operation. During the construction, INVAP supervises key tasks that will determine the reactor’s future performance. Lastly, it takes part in the startup to ensure that the facility begins operations safely, reliably, and at the expected production capacity.

This state-of-the-art reactor, designed to ensure the safe, reliable, and sustained production of radioisotopes for use in nuclear medicine, will ensure a stable supply for life-saving diagnostics and treatments in Europe and around the world.
To participate in the European bidding process that led to the PALLAS project, INVAP established the company ICHOS B.V. in the Netherlands, which it now fully owns. ICHOS signed the contract with the PALLAS Foundation for the construction of a multipurpose reactor in Petten. Thus, ICHOS channels INVAP’s experience and track record into a project that will shape the global future of medical applications of radioisotope.
